The Francophone Affairs Branch provides professional translation services for provincial ministries, Crown corporations and agencies at no cost. 

How do I request translation services?
With the online translation request form, requesting a translation has never been easier!

  • If this is your first translation request, send an email to translation@gov.sk.ca
  • Access the online request form at translation.gov.sk.ca
  • Complete sections 3 and 4
  • Click on Browse and insert one document at a time. Do not copy and paste.
  • Check the status of your translation request and your account history online

We recommend the use of the online request form but will accept translation requests via email, fax or mail.

A few things to keep in mind...

  • Microsoft documents are the preferred file format.
  • Documents can be submitted in other formats - please contact us
  • Always send related reference material (French & English) with your request
  • Only basic formatting of Microsoft documents will be done - we do not offer professional formatting services

How long does it take?
Estimated time for translation is as follows:

  • Up to 500 words - 1 to 2 working days
  • 500 to 1,000 words - 2 to 3 working days
  • 1,000 to 1,500 words - 3 to 5 working days
  • 1,500 to 3,000 words - 5 to 10 working days
  • Over 3,000 words - to be determined
  • Rush documents - to be determined

We do not provide translation services to private-sector companies. Please contact the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Saskatchewan for assistance.  If you would like to have a provincial government document translated, please make your request to the ministry that produced the document.
