Education Programs
Government House Museum and Heritage Property offers educational programs for students in kindergarten to grade 12.  All our programs are interactive and focus on the history of Government House and the traditions of the Victorian era.  Through role play children experience what life was like 100 years ago.  Pre-school age children and children in kindergarten to grade 3 can play in the Once Upon A Time Room, a hands-on gallery decorated beautifully throughout the year reflecting nine themes. There is no charge to participate in any of our programs.

Information packages and resource kits containing materials and activities are available for some programs to help prepare students for their visit.

We also provide class in-services for some of our programs.  A member of our team will arrange a suitable time to visit with students at their schools to help prepare them for their visit to Government House.  A small assignment may be given to aid in their preparation for their program.
